Features: To promote and popularize scientific knowledge about climate and climate change, and to enhance the public's scientific understanding of global change issues, we have organized and compiled the publication of this series titled "Hot Topics in Global Change." This series consists of 18 volumes, written by renowned experts in relevant fields. The content includes the following three aspects: First, based on a large amount of monitoring data, it reveals several facts of global change and their manifestations in various subsystems; Second, based on interdisciplinary theories such as solar radiation, atmospheric chemistry, atmospheric physics, environmental and ecological evolution, it explains the causes of climate change in an accessible manner; Third, guided by the theory of sustainable development, it points out various strategies, approaches, and methods for human adaptation and mitigation of global change. The publication of this series aims to provide people with a clear and comprehensive scientific understanding of global change, thereby encouraging greater attention to global change and enabling a higher-level, broader recognition of China's role and position in global change. It also calls for active participation in collective decision-making for human society and the protection of the Earth environment that sustains us.
