Features: "Shaanxi Disaster Relief Yearbook" was completed under the leadership of the Editorial Committee of "Shaanxi Disaster Relief Yearbook" and in collaboration with various editorial units, based on the requirement of the General Office of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government dated Shaanxi Zheng in 1996. This book records the major disasters that occurred in our province from 1997 to 1999, as well as the achievements of all sectors of society in disaster prevention, resistance, and relief. It serves as a supplementary reference material that connects with the previously published "Brief Record of Historical Natural Disasters in Shaanxi" and "Shaanxi Disaster Relief Yearbook," and will play a significant role in providing guidance for further disaster prevention and mitigation efforts across the province and its cities and departments. The manuscript was written by experts from relevant departments and reviewed by unit leaders. All data are sourced from the statistics released by the Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Statistics; where the provincial bureau cannot provide data, official and approved figures from government departments are used instead.
