Features: The issue of informatization management in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has emerged as a novel research topic in recent years. This book is divided into three parts: a theoretical review, applied research, and an appendix.
The theoretical review includes two articles: An Overview of SME Informatization and The Role and Significance of SME Informatization, which introduce the concepts and connotations of SME informatization, discuss several (understanding/awareness) issues surrounding it, and comprehensively elaborate on its role and significance. These articles provide important guidance in correcting common misconceptions about SME informatization, clarifying the correct approach to informatization, and formulating scientific and reasonable informatization strategies.
The applied research section includes five articles. An Analysis of the Current Status and Trends of SME Informatization in China and Barriers and Challenges in SME Informatization delve into the development status, trends, barriers, and challenges of SME informatization in China. These analyses are highly beneficial for correctly grasping the direction of SME informatization in the country and for understanding and addressing the obstacles and difficulties encountered during the process. Internet Technology and SMEs explores the origins and development of internet technology against a broad international backdrop, examines the current status and shortcomings of its application by Chinese SMEs, and proposes countermeasures and recommendations tailored to the actual conditions of Chinese SMEs. The article cites extensive recent international materials, making it highly valuable for reference.
To address the difficulties SMEs face in implementing informatization, two additional articles are included: How SMEs Can Ensure Successful Informatization Implementation and Network and Information Security. These provide essential guidance for SMEs to correctly recognize and overcome challenges and issues in the informatization process, ensuring the smooth implementation of their informatization initiatives.
The appendix features three national policy documents: The State Foreign Trade Commission's "Tenth Five-Year Plan" for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Informatization, Guidelines for Accelerating the Development of Enterprise Management Informatization, and the recently enacted Regulations on the Protection of Computer Software. These are provided for the readers' reference.
