This book is designed to advance the teaching of science and engineering majors in colleges, especially process technology majors (such as chemical engineering, building materials, metallurgy, light industry, power, and food). It can also serve as a reference for other professionals.
Chapter 1 is on Environmental Ecology, covering Earth's environment, ecosystems, human development and resources, and human society development and the environment.
Chapter 2 is on Sustainable Development and Social Constraints, including environmental awareness, sustainable development strategies, environmental conventions and regulations, and environmental economics.
Chapter 3 is on Environmental Pollution Monitoring and Control, covering environmental monitoring, water pollution control, air pollution control, and solid waste pollution control.
Chapter 4 is on Sustainable Resource Utilization Technology, including ecological industry, clean production, green products and life cycle analysis, and resource recycling of waste.
Chapter 5 is on Environmentally Friendly Energy Utilization Technology, including the opportunities and challenges of energy development, energy efficiency, total energy systems, clean utilization of fossil energy, future energy and its application technologies.
Considering the selection of content for different majors and the limitation of basic class hours, the main parts of the five topics in this book are planned to require approximately 30-40 class hours. The remaining sections can be used for self-study by students.
