Features: Accounting is an economic information system primarily providing financial information. It conveys financial information such as the financial position, operating performance, and cash flows of enterprises to external and internal information users through financial reports, aiming to help them make their own economic decisions. With China's entry into the WTO and the growing development of a socialist market economy, accounting, as an internationally recognized "business language," holds significant importance for protecting investors' interests, improving management efficiency, and enabling the government's macroeconomic regulation. I anticipate that when the quality of China's accounting information improves significantly, the image of accounting work changes, and accounting integrity is widely recognized by society, the role of accounting information will be more fully realized. Of course, this will undoubtedly be a long process requiring substantial efforts from all parties.
The cultivation of Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in China has been ongoing for over a decade. From 1991, when a few universities enrolled fewer than 100 students in the first batch of MBA programs, to the present, with more than 60 higher education institutions in the country offering MBA programs, this reflects the adaptation of China's higher education in management to the actual needs of talent in the market economy and the development of economic globalization. It also highlights the backdrop of significant transformation and transitional gaps in China's economy, society, and education. Currently, in addition to the formal academic MBA programs in universities, there are also business management education programs in society that focus primarily on skill training. The rapid rise of MBA education in China is, overall, a result of the sharp increase in demand for practical business talents due to the swift transition from a planned economy to a market economy. It is also a microcosm of China's continuous opening-up, the adoption of more international practices in economic activities, and the gradual internationalization of management education. Despite this, the current scale of China's existing MBA programs is far from meeting the needs of the country's economic development.
