Features: Beijing's social sciences must step onto the main stage of economic construction, serve economic development, and assist the decision-making of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. This must be fully reflected in the selection of research projects and the practicality of research outcomes. To this end, we established the "Beijing Industry Analysis Report" project, publishing a monograph annually to analyze the development status and existing issues of various industries in Beijing each year, and propose improvement measures. Each industry analysis report in the book should not be general, nor should it be suitable for the previous two years or the following two years. Instead, it should fully demonstrate timeliness and focus on reflecting the situation of the current year. This book is divided into four parts: Part I is the General Report, summarizing the development of various industries in Beijing in 2003; Part II is the Major Events Report, analyzing the "SARS" disaster as an entry point and comprehensively discussing several major issues related to coordinated political, economic, cultural, and social development and emergency preparedness; Part III is the Industry Analysis Report, focusing on the analysis reports of several industries in Beijing; Part IV is the Industry Status Report, where the analysis reports mainly reflect the current status of the industries.
