It covers more than 20,000 records of the birth and death years of historical figures from various dynasties, interspersed with brief introductions to their native places, official ranks, and works, making it an essential reference tool for researching and evaluating Chinese historical figures. The complete set consists of nine volumes, with the first eight arranged in the original publication order, and the ninth volume featuring a Pinyin and stroke index for easy retrieval and use.
