Features: Introduction: The works of the great literary figure Su Shi have long been esteemed by the world, and since the Southern Song Dynasty, numerous books with annotations on his poetry have been published and circulated. However, as time has passed and ages changed, the earliest surviving annotated works on Su Shi's poetry are only Fu Han's Annotations to Poems of Po Su in twelve volumes. Fu Han was a Southern Song Dynasty scholar, with detailed personal information not well-documented. Experts have compared Fu Han's Annotations to Poems of Po Su with the most widely popular and highly regarded annotated works on Su Shi's poetry today—the Yuan Dynasty Dongpo Music Bureau and the Ming Dynasty Four Dynasties Famous Scholars' Lyrics—and found that Fu's annotations not only contain more entries than the latter two books but also far surpass them in quality, preserving many valuable materials such as Su Shi's "self-annotations" and "self-introductions." The Beijing Library Press has used this for photolithography, based on a rare manuscript copied from the Ming Dynasty's collation of Song Dynasty manuscripts by the Qing Dynasty book collector Shen Deshou of the Baojing Pavilion, which bears the collection seals and annotations of Xu Naichang and others.
