Introduction This book collects the catalog entries of stone rubbings of inscriptions preserved in the Beijing Library, covering a total of 6,340 entries. The stone rubbings in the Beijing Library collection are extremely rich, ranging from complete stone scriptures of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism to simple inscriptions, from temple steles recording group activities such as temple, guild, and association steles to individual reflecting personal status, from educational steles depicting the of different historical periods to various types of images and sculptures, from miscellaneous carvings reflecting secular life, road construction, and canal digging to literary and artistic stone inscriptions such as songs, odes, poems, couplets, and couplets. All these reflect the social life of various historical periods from the pre-Qin to the People's Republic of China from different perspectives and hold high academic value. This Catalog aims to systematically reveal the content of these stone rubbings to professionals and enthusiasts engaged in the study of Chinese ancient history, Chinese literary history, Chinese philosophical history, Chinese cultural history, paleography, calligraphy, seal carving, and other fields.

Liu Xianggu (Hongjing) Tower Zhuang, Beijing 3830, Regular script, Chinese and Sanskrit, Changxing 5th year (1194), April, eight sides carved, the first side with a sculpture, sides 2-7 with Sanskrit scriptures and Chinese preface, the eighth side with inscriptions and titles: "Record of Liu Xianggu (Hongjing) of Shili Village, Lishui County, Yizhou, Jin Dynasty." Haiyun Zen Master Stele, Beijing 1755, Written and inscribed in regular script and seal by Wang Wancheng, Xianzong 5th year (1255), September 15th, inscribed first: "Stele of Haiyun Zen Master in the West Hall of Daxing Temple of Yanjing in the Great Mongol Empire." Seal inscribed on the top: "Stele of Haiyun Zen Master in the West Hall of Daxing Temple." The back continues the stele text. Two sheets, 191×101 and 142×42.
