Moqin can extend years and generations, but if one does not discern the real from the unreal, does not understand the root and branch, and adjusts without method, then although the appearance may seem substantial, in reality it is consumed and weak. Therefore, the ancients distinguished between herbs and prescriptions, and the essential difficulties of these books must be comprehensively understood to achieve this. Thus, people can attain benevolence and longevity. The compiler of this work has a thorough understanding, with complete and detailed formats, and the causes and reforms of advantages and disadvantages, as well as the changes and adaptations of circumstances, can all be obtained by opening the book. It is almost as difficult as military strategy. Subsequently, those who follow this will have each matter to verify, and it can be accomplished in order, and the garrisons and troops can be restored.
