Publish Date: 2000-10-01
Features: This book enables readers to learn more about Pérez de Cuéllar and the significant events that have taken place on the planet we inhabit; at the same time, it allows readers to gain a deeper understanding of the United Nations, its efforts over the past 50 years, and its future goals. Without a doubt, in an increasingly interdependent world, multilateralism and international cooperation have ceased to be an idea and have become a necessity. "The affairs of each country should be decided by its own people, and international affairs should be resolved through consultation," this trend towards multipolarity is an inevitable and widely supported development.
