Features: Pu Songchuang was born in 1913 and passed away in 1991. He was the great-grandson of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty and the younger brother of the renowned modern calligrapher and painter, Pu Xuezhai. Mr. Xuezhai once served as the head of the Fine Arts Department at Fu Ren University, educating several outstanding masters skilled in calligraphy and painting. At the same time, several other masters assisted Mr. Xuezhai in teaching flowers and birds, figures, and Mr. Songchuang was one of the great masters who assisted in teaching landscape painting. Mr. Xuezhai organized a "Songfeng Painting Club" at home, which included many masters, such as Pu Xinyu, who was not very famous at the time. At that time, Mr. Songchuang was still very young, and Mr. Xuezhai took him to pay respects to Mr. Guan Jiyun as his teacher. Mr. Xuezhai was skilled in painting horses, which influenced Mr. Songchuang. From a young age, he loved painting horses, and later, specializing in landscape painting under Guan Songfang, he became a master in both fields.
