Features: Sun Xiaoyun, born in August 1955 in Nanjing, Jiangsu, is currently the Vice Director of the Nanjing Calligraphy and Painting Institute, a council member of the China Calligraphy Association, and the Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Calligraphy Association. After graduating from high school in 1973, she worked in Jiangpu County for five years. In 1978, she served as a librarian at the Nanjing Air Force Base, where she began publishing her calligraphy and painting works. In 1985, she joined the Nanjing Calligraphy and Painting Institute. Her calligraphy works have won seven national awards and have been exhibited in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, New York, and other places, with collections by institutions such as the Hong Kong Art Museum and the Jiangsu Art Museum. She has published collections of her calligraphy works, as well as textbooks on regular script and running script calligraphy. She has served as a judge for the National Exhibition of Calligraphy and Seal Carving for Young and Middle-aged Artists and the National 8th Exhibition of Calligraphy and Seal Carving.
