Features: In recent years, sometimes I attend some conferences, and people probably out of politeness often regard me as an "expert" or a "scholar." The China Culture College also hired me as a mentor in the capacity of a history professor. But I am very clear that I do not deserve these titles. When I graduated from the history department of Peking University, I studied as a graduate student for a few years, which coincided with the "Anti-Rightist Campaign" and the "Great Leap Forward," during which I basically did not read serious books. After that, except for teaching World Modern History at Yunnan University for four years, I have never engaged in any profession directly related to history, nor have I published any monographs. Without professional expertise or monographs, how can I be qualified to be called an "expert" or a "scholar"?
