This indicates that "Course Requirements" places greater emphasis on cultivating students' practical language skills.
This book is divided into two parts.
Part 1 consists of 108 units, focusing on familiarizing students with words and providing targeted exercises. Each unit includes:
- Words to Be Remembered: Lists 10 carefully selected words for students to memorize.
- Test Yourself: Features three exercises:
I. 10 multiple-choice questions targeting the 10 central words, covering pronunciation, form, meaning, or collocation.
II. Word transformation exercises with some central words, requiring fill-in-the-blank answers.
III. 10 English-Chinese translations of phrases related to the central words.
Answers are provided at the end of each unit.
Part 2 consists of 10 units, focusing on comprehensive vocabulary practice. Each unit includes:
- I. 20 multiple-choice questions.
- II. A proofreading exercise containing 15 errors.
- III. 5 English-Chinese sentence translations.
