Features:This book is a collection of works by the world-renowned architectural design firm gmp in Canada, featuring over 30 projects across 8 categories. These 8 categories include: educational buildings, public cultural facilities, business office buildings, exhibition and sports facilities, transportation buildings, residential buildings, campus planning, and urban planning. It includes projects that have garnered significant industry attention and have been implemented, such as the German School in Beijing, Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, and Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, as well as representative competition entries like the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Wen Zhou Opera House, Beijing National Stadium, and Beijing Chaofu Street Urban Development Plan. As one of Germany's largest and most internationally awarded architectural firms, gmp has been active in China's design field for 6 years, demonstrating a rigorous design attitude and embodying an unmistakable German style in architectural design. The first three important articles at the beginning of the book provide a detailed introduction to their philosophy, their experiences conducting business in China, and their insights into the Chinese architectural design industry from the perspective of Sino-German differences. This book not only offers comprehensive project materials for architects and students of architecture but also provides research methods and design approaches used by foreign design firms in Chinese projects.
