Features: At the beginning of each section, the articles and dialogues highlight the verbs to be learned in that section. Please study their usage. Since this textbook is not a dictionary, verb meanings are not explained. For verbs that appear for the first time, you should first guess their meanings by reading the text and examples, and then consult a dictionary. Underlined particles and other elements that need attention when used with verbs in examples are emphasized. Each lesson is accompanied by simple exercises, and a chapter with an asterisk () is followed by review exercises. In Japanese, the number of verbs is second only to nouns, but the content represented by a single verb is not limited to one. Sometimes, very familiar simple words can express multiple meanings. While using this textbook, you may not learn all verbs, but you can learn the various common usages that a verb can express.
Chapter 1 introduces various topics and teaches the usage of verbs related to those topics.
Chapter 2 focuses on the various usages of simple verbs.
Chapter 3 covers other verbs that frequently appear in different situations.
