Features: The legal profession is an important component of national democracy and legal system construction. Currently, the development of the legal profession in China has shown trends of internationalization of legal services, large-scale law firms, and specialization in legal practice. This book conducts an in-depth comparative study from the perspectives of basic principles and institutional analysis on the historical origins, current status, essential characteristics, and specific systems of legal professions in China and abroad. In response to the current state of China's legal profession and in conjunction with China's entry into the WTO, it proposes relevant suggestions for further improving the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Legal Profession." It also puts forward new ideas for reforming the management system of the legal profession and strengthening the legal system in China. For issues that are yet to be regulated by laws and regulations, it engages in academic discussions by combining theory and practice. Although some of the research on these issues still needs further depth, the raising of these issues is beneficial in broadening the research perspective on the legal profession, deepening people's understanding of it, and promoting the improvement of China's legal profession.
