Features: On the occasion of the centenary of Deng Xiaoping's birth, I often thought about capturing through news photography the state affairs activities of the elderly leader and his leisure scenes. The glorious image composed of his composed demeanor, profound gaze, firm belief, and profound thoughts has been firmly etched in my mind. I felt he was always thinking, his gaze transcending time and space, seeing so far into his achievements that would endure for generations to come! To commemorate the centenary of Deng Xiaoping's birth, Liaoning People's Publishing House, under Liaoning Publishing Group, published this large-scale album, allowing me to express my deep reverence and nostalgia for the elderly leader that has accumulated over the years. This album is selected from the photographs I took of Deng Xiaoping over 31 years. Leaders and colleagues from the Documentation and Research Center of the Committee of the Communist Party of China reviewed the album. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to them. I also want to express my thanks to the two chief editors of the album, the English translator, the editorial director, the layout designer, the proofreader, and all other colleagues who contributed to this book.
