Features: A series of large-scale simulated calligraphy masterpieces passed down in Chinese calligraphy history. Master Fu Shan's calligraphy excels in all styles—regular, cursive, clerical, and seal scripts—and his inscriptions on steles and bamboo slips are equally marvelous. His authentic works have been passed down to later generations, revered by calligraphers as models. However, most of his masterpieces are now housed in major museums and private collections, making them rare to see. Although some calligraphy books have been published, they are often limited in size, resulting in works that either capture the form but lose the essence, or vice versa. In some cases, both the form and essence are lost, leaving viewers as if looking at flowers in the mist or moon in the water. For those who try to imitate them, it is even harder to grasp the true essence.
Therefore, the Jinxiu Temple Museum, the Shanxi Provincial Museum, and the Fu Shan Memorial Hall have specially selected some of Master Fu Shan's finest works. The Shanxi People's Publishing House has published them in the form of large-scale calligraphy simulations and issued them in a limited edition. This series employs modern special techniques, using high-quality Xuan paper to make the ink resemble the original, and includes seals to enhance the visual impact, (qi), and rhythm of the works. It allows scholars and calligraphers to appreciate the force, texture, and dynamism of the brushwork, as well as the aesthetic style, spirit, and realm of the calligraphy. Additionally, annotations are provided, making it easier to identify and study the works, adding both valuable collection and practical value.
In the hands of a single scroll, one can see the elegance of dragons and snakes, as if witnessing the original works. Hanging on a wall, each sheet exudes elegance and brilliance, as if one were meeting the artist in person. It is readable, viewable, writable, imitable, appreciable, and collectible. It allows viewers to immerse themselves in the art, feeling refreshed and at ease; it enables learners to trace and imitate, capturing both the form and the spirit.
