Features: Japan is an early starter in the construction of modern high-rise buildings in Asia, as well as a relatively mature and technically strong country. By the late 1960s of the 20th century, it had pioneered the solution to structural seismic issues in Asia, breaking the 100m height barrier in building construction. In the early 1970s, the high-rise buildings it constructed had already exceeded 200m in height. Moreover, for a considerable period of time, Japan held the record in both the number and scheduling of high-rise building construction in Asia. Although Japan has yet to build a skyscraper taller than 300m, in terms of technical capabilities, Japan is fully capable of designing and constructing the world's tallest buildings. It is only due to other reasons that such construction has not been undertaken.
