On one hand, it provides detailed discussions and analyses on problem identification, analysis, and solution; on the other hand, numerous examples are included to deepen students' understanding and mastery of the core content. The selection of content in this textbook is based on the basic requirements for fewer credit hours in engineering mechanics issued by the Ministry of Education. At the same time, it takes into account the emergence and application of many new materials since the 1960s in various engineering practices, adding a chapter on the mechanics of new materials as the last chapter and marking it with an asterisk to broaden students' horizons and enhance their adaptability. To assist readers in review and self-study, a special teaching software CD-ROM titled "Engineering Mechanics Learning Guide and Problem-Solving Manual" has been developed and is included with the book. To improve teaching effectiveness, the author has also compiled a multimedia classroom teaching software CD-ROM for instructors specifically for this textbook.
