Over the past three years, the China electrical industry has undergone significant changes. To provide readers with an updated business guide, we verified the information of most enterprises in the book based on the first edition, using online resources, various media promotions, and other materials, up to the end of 2002. Although the number of enterprises introduced in this edition has decreased from 13,500 in the first edition to over 9,600, the information is more authentic and authoritative. For convenience, this edition combines the original two volumes into one. We would like to specially note this to our readers.
The book "Directory of China Electrical Industry Enterprises" (2nd Edition) introduces six industries under the sub-sector of power transmission, distribution, and control equipment manufacturing, and five industries under the sub-sector of electrical apparatus manufacturing, based on the GB/T 4754-1994 "National Economic Industry Classification and Codes." With the rapid development of China's market economy, manufacturers of electrical products are no longer solely focused on single products. Due to product diversification, many enterprises find it difficult to be accurately classified into a single product industry. As a result, the industry classification in this book may have many unreasonable aspects. In principle, we classify enterprises based on their dominant products. For those that are difficult to classify by product alone, we place them in relevant industries according to their company names.
