Features: Since the beginning of the 20th century, the first Chinese piano piece—"March of Peace" composed by Mr. Zhao Yuanren—was officially published in 1915, generations of musicians, composers, and pianists in China have tirelessly dedicated themselves to creating Chinese piano works, pouring in immense effort and hard work. They have produced numerous outstanding piano pieces with strong national colors and distinct Chinese styles. A significant number of these works have been published and have been loved by society and the general public, while also being presented to the world, showcasing the vigorous development of China's piano art. Now, the People's Music Publishing House, following the Selected Piano Works (1949–1979), will launch a new series of outstanding Chinese piano works. This will not only meet the needs of the development of China's piano music industry but also provide more opportunities for Chinese piano works to undergo the test of time and enter the treasure trove of world piano music. It is believed that through the joint efforts of colleagues in the music world, more and better Chinese piano works with national cultural traditions and original artistic styles will continue to emerge, constantly demonstrating their artistic charm and vitality.
