Features: This song collection is titled "A Treasury of Chinese Children's Songs." The character "" means "many," and "" is defined in dictionaries as "extensive reading." In terms of publishing a collection of children's songs, this collection indeed includes a substantial number of songs. However, when considering all previously created and published works in various forms in China (including folk children's songs), the selection is quite limited. To provide readers with a relatively comprehensive understanding of Chinese children's songs, this collection includes a limited number of complete folk children's songs. From them, one can appreciate the musical charm, characteristics, and individuality of folk children's songs from various ethnic groups in China, as well as the rich content, themes, and stylistic diversity of these songs. It also reflects the close relationship between folk children's songs and people's lives, customs, culture, history, and economy. In the vast ocean of Chinese children's songs, only a portion could be included, resulting in countless excellent works left out. Moreover, opinions on selection criteria vary among individuals. Fortunately, during the compilation process, we made efforts to consult relevant materials and extensively reviewed song collections published and released in different historical periods. We aimed to include works that had been performed in practice and loved by the public, frequently appeared in various media, were recognized as outstanding in awards, had a significant impact during a particular historical period, or represented the works of influential lyricists and composers in different eras.
