Publish Date: 2003-01-01
Features: This "Selected Works of Chinese Controversial Fiction in 2002" is a collection of controversial fiction published since the beginning of the 21st century. It includes original fiction and reprinted works published in domestic literary journals from October 2001 to October 2002. A new collection will be published annually, complementing other annual selections from the same publisher. The commentary section primarily features opinions for and against the novels, along with (authors' creative discussions). The controversy in "controversial fiction" centers on the fiction itself, not on personal feuds with the authors. Currently, literary debates are not as frequent, and those with insightful perspectives are even rarer.
