Features: This atlas is based on the fifth edition of the unified teaching material "Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine" used in higher and secondary TCM colleges. The layout and the varieties of Chinese medicinal herbs collected in this atlas are consistent with those in the "Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine" textbook, ensuring correspondence. Except for a very small number of exceptions, each Chinese medicinal herb includes color images and corresponding descriptive text for three parts: the original plant (or animal), the crude drug, and the prepared decoction. It covers over 500 commonly used Chinese medicinal herbs with 940 color photographs. The majority of color photographs of the original plants and animals are the author's own works taken from various parts of the country over the years, with vibrant colors and realistic forms. The color photographs of crude drugs and prepared decoctions are selected from typical specimens, showing clear shapes and making them easy to identify. This atlas is suitable for teachers and students of pharmacology in higher and secondary TCM colleges and is an excellent supplementary teaching material for the study of Chinese medicinal herbs. It is also suitable for marketing personnel of Chinese medicinal materials, founders and storage personnel of Chinese medicinal material stations, and quality inspection personnel of pharmaceutical factories.
