Can I have a natural birth after cervical erosion surgery?

Patient's question:

I had a cervical erosion treatment last April, it seems to have been done using a focused magnetic resonance therapy device. I am now almost ready to give birth, how can I have a natural birth?

Doctor's answer:

The most obvious symptom of severe cervical erosion is yellowish, viscous leukorrhea or blood-tinged leukorrhea, and in very few cases, post-coital bleeding may recur. Long-term stimulation of inflammatory leukorrhea can also lead to vulvar pruritus. If cervical erosion is severe, a lip knife procedure may still be necessary, but the surgery will not interfere with subsequent labor. Cervical erosion is usually caused by chronic cervical inflammation and repeated sexual contact, and it can be divided into three degrees. Postoperative cervical erosion may result in scar tissue on the cervix surface. Since normal cervical erosion surgery is not recommended for natural labor because the scars on the cervix surface can reduce its elasticity, preventing natural labor from causing cervical laceration.
