Features: Professor You Guoen was a renowned scholar both at home and abroad, dedicating his entire life to education and classical literature research. Possessing profound knowledge and a wealth of writings, he was particularly esteemed for his expertise in Chu Ci studies. As early as the 1960s, Zhonghua Book Company approached Professor You to compile a collection of his essays. In 1977, the proposal was revisited, but it was postponed due to Professor You's illness and subsequent hospitalization. He passed away shortly thereafter, and the project was shelved. In 1984, Zhonghua Book Company again discussed the compilation of the essay collection with You Jue, Professor You's eldest daughter. Building upon the arrangement Professor You had made during his lifetime, the company entrusted his students Cao Daocheng and Shen Yucheng to assist in organizing the old manuscripts. Eventually, this became the You Guoen Collected Essays.
