What should be done if there is an acute torsion of the ovary and fallopian tube?

Patient's question:

Previously, when the waist and abdomen reversed suddenly, there was excruciating pain that was unbearable. I went to the hospital for a thorough examination, and the doctor said it might be acute self-reversal of the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Can it be treated?

Doctor's answer:

Normal fallopian tubes and ovaries have a high degree of mobility, capable of jumping 90° without recurring symptoms. If a complete reversal occurs again and is not diagnosed in time, it can lead to adnexal suppuration or even gangrene, resulting in severe consequences such as peritonitis. Acute self-reversal of the ovary and fallopian tube manifests as: sudden recurrence of pain, sharp pain, sometimes occurring after sudden changes in posture, and palpable painful adnexal masses can lead to a definitive diagnosis. However, this is only the typical symptom of complete adnexal reversal. If it is incomplete reversal, the pain is intermittent.
