Since its publication, feedback from various aspects, as well as the rapid development of the discipline of educational technology and science and technology, have led to significant expansions in both theory and practice, as well as in depth and breadth. It basically covers all aspects of the discipline, including its objectives and tasks, development history, nature and characteristics, concepts and definitions, scope of objects, theoretical foundations, basic principles, practical fields, and research methods, making it easier for readers to understand and grasp the subject as a whole. This book serves as an introductory course for first-year students in the field of Educational Technology, as well as an introductory course for pre-service teachers from other disciplines and in-service teachers to understand educational technology. Therefore, it focuses on understanding, mastering the development history, nature and characteristics, concepts and definitions, and practical applications of the discipline. Regarding the chapters on "Educational System Design" and "Development and Utilization of Teaching Media," as they are part of an introduction, they do not require detailed coverage, as there are subsequent specialized courses. However, considering that some schools or in-service training programs may not offer such courses, these chapters are included for optional instruction by different institutions. In addition to serving as a textbook for undergraduate students in the field of Educational Technology and as a public course textbook for normal universities, this book can also be used as a reference for Master of Education students, educators, and professionals in educational technology.
