Features: This book is a research outcome of the Ministry of Education's "Reform Plan for Teaching Content and Curriculum Systems in Higher Education Towards the 21st Century," and is recognized as a "21st Century Curriculum Textbook," a national key textbook for the "9th Five-Year Plan," and a "9th Five-Year Plan" teaching guidance textbook for physics and astronomy under the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Committee. The book is revised based on the original edition (which won the first prize of the Ministry of Education's Excellent Teaching Material Award) and incorporates the achievements of the author's project on the "Research Project for Basic Training Standards, Basic Teaching Requirements, and Curriculum System Reform in Physics Undergraduate Programs Towards the 21st Century" funded by the Ministry of Education. During the revision process, the original features were preserved while the structure and content were appropriately adjusted to meet modern requirements. Additional knowledge related to the forefront of physics closely linked to electromagnetism and modern applications was added, and the distinction between basic and advanced requirements was further clarified, with adjustments made to the difficulty level. The book is divided into 9 chapters, covering topics such as the fundamental laws of electrostatics, electrostatic fields and conductors, steady currents, the magnetic field of steady currents, time-varying electromagnetic fields and Maxwell's equations, the electric and magnetic fields of uniformly moving charges, electric fields in matter, magnetic fields in matter, and alternating current circuits. This book can serve as a textbook for undergraduate physics majors in electromagnetism courses at universities and can also be referenced by teachers and students in related disciplines.
