Features: This book is one of the sets of Chinese teaching materials for training secondary school teachers in satellite television training, and is a revised version of the 1986 edition. The revision work was carried out based on extensive feedback from users and in accordance with the newly promulgated teaching syllabus for Chinese teaching by the State Education Commission. The revised edition corrects the omissions and errors in the original textbook; extensively rewritten the more advanced and difficult part of phonology; brought the overall framework and content closer to the new syllabus; and carefully retained the strengths of the original version. In terms of academic perspectives, it maintains stability and adopts the generally accepted views. The book is divided into two volumes. The first volume is a collection of selected classical Chinese texts, carefully chosen from a linguistic perspective, all of which are classic masterpieces. The selections primarily focus on texts from the pre-Qin and Han dynasties, supplemented by famous works from the Tang and Song dynasties. The annotations after each text reflect the nature of a classical Chinese tools course, not only explaining the meanings of characters, words, and sentences but also providing necessary grammatical explanations. Each selected text includes a "Overview of Key Words in This Text," which deeply and thoroughly explains over 380 commonly used words in relation to the lesson. This book is suitable for use in television teacher training institutions, teacher training programs, education colleges, correspondence courses, and self-study.
