Features: The first edition of this book was printed in Tokyo, Japan in 1933. To explore ancient Chinese society, the author established a new system for organizing and studying oracle bone inscriptions based on previous research, making this book his representative work in this field. In 1958, it was published as a special issue of the Archaeological Research Institute's "Archaeological Studies," with additional corrections and annotations added by the author. The author reviewed the editing records from Science Press, making revisions or adding annotations as needed; the index was also recompiled. With the assistance of experts, some unclear rubbings and photographs were either replaced with new rubbings or supplemented with facsimiles. For the rubbings with facsimiles, a △ symbol is added next to the plate number in the "Interpretation." Now, additional corrections and annotations have been added.
