Features: Between 1997 and 1998, the author conducted aerial photography archaeological surveys and ground Global Positioning System (GPS) measurements for ancient large-scale sites in southeastern Inner Mongolia. This work was a successful attempt at conducting remote sensing and aerial photography archaeological research in China. Subsequently, advanced Geographic Information System (GIS) methods were employed, combined with previous archaeological work in the region, to conduct comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of the collected data, resulting in the compilation of this book. The book includes representative and important photographic materials from the original data, providing essential and intuitive visual resources for further in-depth research on these sites. This book is China's first report on the investigation and research of ancient large-scale sites using remote sensing and aerial photography archaeological methods.
