Features: Spring Literature Series. Geyang is a woman of Tibetan ethnicity and currently works as a meteorological engineer. Born in 1972 in the eastern town of Tsagyab in Tibet, she graduated from Nanjing Institute of Meteorology in 1994. Starting in 1996, she began publishing articles. Her debut work, "Town Stories," won the First "New Century" Literature Award (Chinese Category) from the Tibet Writers' Association; in 1998, she received the "National Newcomer Award for Minority Literature Creation and Research." Her works primarily consist of fiction and essays, with over 400,000 words published in various forms. For her outstanding creative achievements, she was honored with an entry into the Second "Spring Literature Award" in 2003.
