Patient's question:
Treatment for fallopian tube hydropsDoctor's answer:
If the amount of fluid in the fallopian tubes is relatively small, conservative treatment can be used. The treatment methods are the same as those for chronic tubo-ovarian inflammation, combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine approaches for syndrome differentiation and treatment. Internal medicine and external treatment methods can be used simultaneously. Sometimes, the fluid-filled fallopian tubes are adhered to the ovaries and connected to follicular cysts within the ovaries, forming a tubo-ovarian cyst. If the amount of fluid in the fallopian tubes is large or has formed a significant tubo-ovarian cyst, surgical treatment should be considered. Fallopian tube fluid accumulation is often bilateral and rarely adheres to surrounding tissues. For younger patients with normal-looking ovaries, combined with fallopian tube and ovary adhesions, the fallopian tubes can be removed while preserving the ovaries.
