Features: This is a very interesting book. Many writers, when writing, inevitably involve elements of crime. If so, this book will provide great help to these writers. The purpose of this book is to tell writers about the common knowledge of various criminal acts, so that they are not helpless when writing about crime and crime-solving plots. It is important to remember that this book is not a specialized work discussing crime issues. The author was originally a police officer and encountered numerous major and serious cases, as well as suspected criminals, during his time on the job. Based on the classification of criminal acts, the author explains the characteristics, general methods, police investigation techniques, backgrounds, and issues writers should pay attention to when writing about certain aspects. Additionally, the author introduces the individuals who commit various crimes, as the personality of criminals greatly influences their behavior, which is of concern to writers. The perspective from which the book discusses criminal acts differs from that of general works on crime issues. The author categorizes criminal acts according to their objects (targets). For example, crimes against banks, crimes against transportation tools (bank robberies, air hijacking, car theft, etc.), crimes against traffic tools (murders), crimes against antiques and artworks, and so on. Robbing banks, robbing cars, and robbing private residences are all forms of robbery, but they are discussed in separate chapters in this book.
