Features: This standard specifies the selection principles for the rated withstand voltage of air insulation, composite insulation, as well as the insulation of tools, devices, and equipment used during live-line work in AC and DC power systems.
This standard applies to the guidance principles for insulation coordination during live-line work in power systems with a systemmaximum voltage greater than 1KV AC or 1.5KV DC.
This standard is not applicable to special cases, i.e., live-line work conducted in environments with pollution or harmful gases, vapors, chemicals, or deposits that are detrimental to insulation.
