Publishing Date: 2001-09-01
Features: The dozens of short and long articles collected in this volume have been repeatedly edited by the author at least five times. Now, they have finally been finalized and published as Nights Afloat in the Sea of Books. Naturally, the author is overjoyed. The criteria for selecting these small articles are primarily that the books read should have some unique personality and taste, being ones the author particularly enjoys. Secondly, there should be something fresh to read in the book, such as a thought that might belong to the author, a touch of reflection, or even some research. In short, the aim is to avoid making the articles superficial. The articles are divided into three sections, with no particular division standard. In fact, they are all related to modern and contemporary writers and scholars, so except for slight differences in focus, they can mainly be said to be organized for the convenience of readers' reference.
