Features: I’d like to share a little secret with you all: My works are currently undergoing their third round of revisions. All of them are being prepared for publication as bound volumes, but they will only be released after the revisions are complete. I have finalized the revisions for The Book and Sword Romance. At this meeting, I heard the speech by Mr. Li from East China Normal University, and it inspired me greatly, which was very helpful in revising the short story The Swordsmanship of the Yue Maiden. Mr. Li said that during the Wu-Yue conflict, Wu was a highly civilized and enlightened country, while Yue was a barbaric and uncultured one. King Goujian of Yue used many ruthless and despicable means to defeat Wu, and Goujian was essentially a despicable man who achieved success. This seems to be a pattern in Chinese history. In the future, when I revise The Swordsmanship of the Yue Maiden, I will incorporate Mr. Li’s opinions, though I probably won’t be able to write too much. This example demonstrates that I really gained concrete benefits from this meeting.
