Features: German Made Easy is a textbook series designed for a wide range of learners studying German through German radio lectures. We require students to master German pronunciation, basic grammar, common sentence patterns, and 3,000 commonly used vocabulary words through this textbook series. They should be able to engage in daily general conversations, understand simple German reading materials, and lay a foundation for further German studies. German Made Easy is divided into two volumes: (Beginner) and (Intermediate), with each volume containing twenty-two chapters. This book is the (Beginner) volume, which includes two parts: the pronunciation and basic grammar stage. In terms of word selection and sentence construction, this book intentionally adopts the perspective of "Valence Grammar," emphasizing that the core of a sentence is the verb, i.e., the valence capacity of the verb. Since the verb holds a dominant position in sentence structure, it determines or influences what needs to be filled. To make the sentence structure complete, supplementation must be performed, which in turn gives rise to many complements. Based on this characteristic of "Valence Grammar," we no longer follow the traditional grammar approach to explain sentence structure when compiling the textbook. This is one of the most distinctive features of this book compared to previous German textbooks. In terms of lesson selection, this book basically adopts original texts from foreign textbooks, but it processes and refines these materials specifically and progressively during compilation. Combined with teaching characteristics, we have carefully designed vocabulary and grammar exercises to improve students' language application and communication skills.
