Facilitation (): The term for the various skills required for constructive guidance and a participative management style. Group facilitation is an interactive process where facilitation skills provide a structured, step-by-step approach to help groups reach clear consensus decisions within limited time and resources, form actionable implementation plans, and achieve the desired outcome of "efficient communication, consensus in meetings, and significant performance improvement." A facilitator plays a neutral role in the group's thinking and process, often referred to as the "midwife of group outcomes."
This series is the first comprehensive and systematic introduction of the concept and methods of facilitation () in China. Wenta Management Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has partnered with ICA to introduce the ToP facilitation skills and further develop the "Wenta Jian Dao" course tailored for the Chinese context. Wenta is committed to promoting simple management tools and skills supported by strong academic foundations and proven in practice. The Top method is not the latest in organizational development or transformation. Its strength lies in the organization's own creativity, innovation, openness, and courage. However, the Top method can and does create an atmosphere that nurtures the qualities needed for transformation—coordination, leadership, communication, collaboration, commitment, creativity, innovation, and execution.
The advantages described in Part Four are not promises but results. They have been reported by thousands of organizations that have adopted the Top method to achieve specific goals.
