Features: This book is a summary of the author's many years of teaching in the Industrial Instrumentation and Automation program at Tsinghua University. It was written based on multiple revisions of lecture notes used over the years and includes some research achievements of the author and colleagues in the field of process control. The book systematically elaborates on the structure, principles, design, analysis, and evaluation of simple and complex control systems, deeply dissects two typical industrial process control system examples, and strives to comprehensively design and optimize control systems based on the characteristics of the entire production process. On this basis, it also introduces several relatively mature advanced process control strategies and aims to reflect the recent developments in process control. Starting from fundamental mathematical and physical concepts, the book explains the essence and characteristics of process control problems as well as the basic methods for mastering system design and analysis. The book is divided into 15 chapters, each with review questions and exercises. It can serve as a textbook for undergraduate and related disciplines in automatic control and provide reference for relevant technical personnel.
