Features: What attracts me to drama, I mean, is the stage scene, backstage, and the actors' dressing room, as well as the performance hall—not out of the entertainment needs sought by the masses of our time, nor because of the delightful stimulation arising from a false, alluring yet frightening world. — Wagner
Wagner was one of the two great opera composers of the 19th century (the other being Verdi). He was a composer with extremely vivid personality, whose works were grandiose and filled with a sense of mystery. They inherited the essence of Scandinavian cultural traditions and German classical music while also composing entirely new and brilliant chapters. Works like Parsifal and Tristan und Isolde have become immortal masterpieces in the history of opera.
