Features: Idioms are one of the most brilliant gems in the treasure trove of Chinese culture. They are closely related to our daily lives. However, using these idioms accurately, especially in this era that values knowledge, promotes education, develops technology, and disseminates information, is particularly important. Nowadays, there are countless varieties of idioms dictionaries, but this one has its own unique features and is sure to bring readers delightful surprises. This dictionary appears in a "multifunctional" format, containing entries, pinyin, definitions, parts of speech, example sentences, synonyms, antonyms, and more. The idioms selected are all four-character idioms, and they are relatively common ones. The purpose of this is mainly to make it suitable for readers with various general cultural levels, particularly for middle and primary school teachers and students, as well as literary enthusiasts. Each entry in the book is paired with synonyms and antonyms. According to traditional customs, oral idioms are not considered "fit for high society," but we have included some common oral idioms in the book, mostly in the synonyms or antonyms sections. Of course, their quantity is still very small, and we only made this a trial. We have also paired each idiom with one to four idiomatic sayings (chengyu heshi). This not only deepens the understanding of the idiom itself but also broadens knowledge and adds some humor and wit to what would otherwise be a dry reference book. Additionally, each page features humorous illustrations to help readers better understand and grasp the meaning of the idiom. Idioms are one of the most brilliant gems in the treasure trove of Chinese culture. Compared to the linguistic arts of various languages worldwide, although each foreign language has its own "idioms" to some extent, a collection as rich and dazzling as Chinese idioms should be considered "scorpion's spit—unique (poisonous)," truly deserving the phrase "unparalleled in the world." This dictionary appears in a "multifunctional" format, containing entries, pinyin, definitions, parts of speech, example sentences, synonyms, antonyms, idiomatic sayings, riddles (dengmi), analyses, and illustrations.
