Features: In the public visual space, images of children are assigned various meanings by adults, while they also serve diverse social functions. Through children's images, we can interpret society's "view of children." Treating children as "children" was originally an important marker distinguishing modern society from traditional society. Adults have thus regarded the protection of children as their sacred duty, and have established "for the sake of children" as a moral bottom line. However, all of this is now being challenged by shifts in people's perceptions and international political changes.
