Features: This book is one of the outcomes of the Tianjin Municipal University Teaching Reform Project "Research and Practice of Integrating Information Technology and Economic Mathematics" in the early 21st century. It is a companion textbook to "Practical Linear Algebra" and is suitable for undergraduate students in engineering, arts, and management disciplines. Some content is also applicable to vocational and technical college students taking Linear Algebra courses. The focus of this book is to help students improve their learning quality in the "Practical Linear Algebra" course and strengthen their ability to "use mathematics," serving as a valuable aid for both teachers and students.
Features of the Book: With a basic framework of key knowledge points and example analysis, the book has a clear structure and concise narration. For students with different levels of foundation, each chapter is equipped with thought-provoking exercises (A) and (B) with varying difficulty levels. Chapters 1–6 are synchronized with the chapters in "Practical Linear Algebra," while Chapters 7–9 comprehensively introduce the functions of the software Mathematica 4.0 and their applications in Linear Algebra. Relevant computer exercises and Linear Algebra modeling examples are included, helping students further master the theory and methods of Linear Algebra and learn to use mathematical software and Linear Algebra knowledge to analyze and solve practical problems. Chapters 7–9 can be studied in conjunction with the content of "Practical Linear Algebra" or taught independently. During the writing process, to ensure the selected content is more representative and typical, we referred to and quoted some examples and exercises from relevant literature.
