Features: With the establishment of China's socialist market economy system and the strategy of governing the country by law, China's legal system construction, as well as the foundational legal research and education, has achieved unprecedented development in recent years. As the saying goes, "A craftsman must first sharpen his tools before he can work well." As a law library, facing new circumstances, how can we better fulfill our role in this historical process? This is a topic worthy of continuous and in-depth reflection. In light of this, we began planning and editing this Chinese and Foreign Legal Literature Research last summer, with the intention of publishing it as an annual collection of essays. The purpose of the collection is to introduce and study the successful experiences of law libraries in China and abroad, identify the gaps in our own work, and explore future directions for the development of law libraries. The ultimate goal is to provide more convenient and efficient services for legal research, legislation, and legal education, while also offering a platform for exchange among domestic and international peers, with the aim of continuously improving the overall level of law libraries in serving legal system construction.
