[Preface] Preface Food safety is related to the health and life safety of the broad masses of the people, to the healthy development of the economy and social stability, to the image of the government and the country. The Party Central Committee, the National People's Congress, and the State Council have always attached great importance to food safety and have promulgated and implemented a series of laws and regulations to ensure food safety. Similarly, countries around the world also attach great importance to the construction and improvement of the food laws and regulations system. One of the major challenges China faces after joining the WTO is how to quickly align its food laws and regulations system with international standards to promote the development of food production and trade, making it even more important to understand China's current food laws and regulations. To better summarize the achievements made in establishing China's food laws and regulations system, to promote China's food legislative achievements, and to enable China's food laws and regulations system to integrate more quickly into the international trend, we compiled this "Food Laws and Regulations Document Collection."
